2 – Being – My life must always be striving to imitate God. My child needs to know what an authentic Christlike life looks like. I am are “Exhibit A” to that life. For example, take Galatians 5:22-23 and examine how your life aligns with the nine elements of the Spirit of God.
The best secondary role I can play in my child’s life is to give him an authentic life, which includes all my mistakes. My mistakes may be the most instructive to what the Christ-life is all about. After I fail, I have an amazing opportunity to model how to respond to failure.

Whenever a person chooses sinful anger, he is, in effect, giving the other person control over him. It’s counterintuitive. In his anger, he is like a marionette, a puppet on a string.
Anger toward someone is the total submission of their thoughts, attitudes, emotions, and behaviors to the other person.
